Sorry...it's been a while

Sorry it's been awhile.  We have just been so busy with painting and cleaning that I completely forgot to post!!  I had an "extra" ultrasound on Sunday, marking my 14 week point.  And let me tell you, Baby D is one active baby!!  The position was not great, but I did get to see the face a few times and the arms and legs moving and the many somersaults Baby D did!

I am definitely starting to show now - still not enough to give you a belly pic though ;)  Soon enough! I promise by 20 weeks I will post one.  I am still feeling great, but the last couple of days I have had a headache and have been really tired, but other than that, all is good.  I think it's the weather personally and working so much.

So the baby's room and our master bedroom is now painted.  I am doing one wall of wallpaper in the nursery and already picked it out - one for a boy and one for a girl.  I think it's going to look good.  I also decided not to get the convertible bed because I got some really good advice from my sister in law (Who is also pregnant and shares the same due date as us!!!!)  So once we know what the sex is, I'm going to start doing the baby shopping and picking out the furniture.  It will be white regardless, but I'll choose either masculine or feminine after we find out.

Here is the video of Baby D at exactly 14 weeks..... keep an eye out for the face :)

It's official...

I'm in my second trimester :)  It's such a huge relief!  I put the official facebook post up and got an awesome overwhelming response from some great friends!

I feel the same as last week - but I have lots of energy.  We are finishing our upstairs for our bedroom and the nursery so Ryan and I have been super busy getting rid of junk that we stored up there and cleaning up so the floors can be done tomorrow.... after that I can start painting and move furniture up there :)

We are going to paint the nursery a shade off from white (still white, but not stark white) and then accent with pink or blue, depending on what Baby D will be.  I'm thinking I want a lifetime crib (not exactly sure what they are called) where it goes from crib, to transition bed to a toddler bed.

As for our room, it's still undecided!!  We want it simple and streamlined so it's going to have minimal furniture (because there is not much room!!).  There is a walk in closet (small again) so that should be able to hold most of our stuff.  We have definitely been purging a lot from the house - things we no longer use, and are donating it to the Mission store - someone will use the stuff - just not us!

That's really all, maybe next post there will be a belly picture up - undecided still though :)  You might have to wait a bit longer!!!

Don't forget to play our baby game HERE.  When you click on the link, under SEARCH, enter babydufour2011 to pull our game up....

And I made a typo, our 20 week ultrasound is July 29th, not July 27th.

Oops

When you play the Expectnet game (previous post) you have to search for BabyDufour2011.  This will bring you to our game :)

Meet Baby D!!

So if you are reading this, then you know that we are expecting our first child. Our due date is December 19th, 2011, just in time for Christmas!

As of today I am 11 weeks and 5 days pregnant.  Most of my nausea has subsided.  I'm still very tired, but every day gain more energy.  I find if I keep doing things throughout the day I stay awake :)

Within the last couple of days, I've noticed my lower belly is protruding a little bit.  I still wouldn't say I'm showing yet, but there is definitely something there.  Sleeping is becoming a little bit uncomfortable because I can't lay directly on my stomach and I am trying to sleep only on my left side.....I am generally a stomach sleeper.

So our next milestone is our 20 week ultrasound on July 27th.  This is when we can find out the sex of the baby, and yes, we are finding out!!! It's very exciting :D

I plan on updating this blog weekly, maybe slip a few extra in between. Eventually I'll post some belly pics, but as of right now, not a chance lol.  When I actually start to show and not just have bloating, you will see them.

So by my next blog post, I will officially be in my second trimester (that's only 2 days away!!!!)

You can also visit HERE (Expectnet.com) to enter a guess on our baby's gender, birth date, weight and length.  It's all for fun, but we are curious as to what people will think we are having :)
